Before ordering
Important international-order information
Availability and order acceptance
International enquiries are welcome, but an enquiry, automated acknowledgement or payment authorisation does not by itself guarantee supply. Orders remain subject to product availability, supplier confirmation, payment verification, destination support, export controls and Electrotk's written acceptance.
Electrotk may decline, cancel, split or request further information for an order where supply is unavailable, restricted, incorrectly priced, unsafe, commercially impracticable or not reasonably verifiable. Any amount captured for an order Electrotk cannot accept will be handled in accordance with the applicable payment and refund process.
Pricing, currency, taxes and duties
Order currency and tax treatment are shown at checkout or stated in the written quotation. Currency conversion, card-provider and bank charges may be applied independently by the customer's payment provider and are not controlled by Electrotk.
Unless Electrotk expressly confirms otherwise in writing, destination-country import duties, GST, VAT, customs clearance, brokerage, storage, inspection charges and government levies are not included in the product or freight price and may be payable by the recipient. Customers should obtain local advice before ordering.
Customs, importer details and delivery terms
The recipient may be required to act as importer of record and provide accurate legal-name, tax, customs, licence, end-use or identification information. Failure to provide required information or pay destination charges can result in delay, storage, return, abandonment or disposal by the carrier or authorities.
Any Incoterm or other trade term applies only when expressly identified in Electrotk's written quotation or order confirmation. Where no Incoterm is stated, customers should not assume that duties, import clearance or destination charges are included.
Lead times, carriers and delivery delays
Published and quoted lead times are estimates unless Electrotk expressly agrees otherwise in writing. Timing may be affected by supplier availability, payment clearance, export checks, carrier capacity, customs examinations, border processes, severe weather, industrial action and other circumstances beyond reasonable control.
Products may be split into separate shipments where appropriate. Tracking indicates carrier progress but is not a guaranteed delivery appointment. Customers must provide a complete serviceable address and monitor carrier communications.
Product compatibility and destination compliance
Industrial products can differ by voltage, frequency, radio or cellular band, firmware, language, licence region, certification, connector, environmental rating and approved application. Customers must verify the exact MPN and suitability for their system, country, installation and intended use before ordering.
Products must be installed, commissioned and maintained by appropriately qualified persons in accordance with manufacturer instructions and applicable standards. Electrotk may request end-user or end-use information and may refuse supply where export, sanctions, safety or manufacturer restrictions apply.
Transit damage, returns and warranty assessment
Inspect the shipment promptly. Preserve the product, serial labels, inner and outer packaging, and photograph any visible damage before installation or disposal. Report shortages, incorrect items or transit damage through the applicable claims process as soon as reasonably possible.
Do not return an international order without written authorisation and return instructions. Assessment requirements, freight responsibility and the available remedy depend on the reason for return, product condition, applicable law and Electrotk's Returns, Refunds and Warranty terms.
Customer rights
Mandatory legal protections remain
Nothing on this page or in Electrotk's policies excludes, restricts or modifies a guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded. New Zealand consumer protections apply where legally applicable. Customers in Australia may also have rights under the Australian Consumer Law where it applies to the transaction.
For qualifying business-to-business transactions, any legally permitted contracting-out arrangement applies only where it is expressly agreed in writing and satisfies the requirements of the applicable law.
