SIEMENS - SIMATIC S7-1200 - Energy Meter Modules

The Siemens SIMATIC S7-1200 SM 1238 Energy Meter Module is a dedicated power monitoring module designed for comprehensive electrical energy measurement within industrial automation systems. It enables SIMATIC S7-1200 controllers to monitor electrical parameters from single-phase and three-phase AC networks, providing real-time energy and power data for monitoring, optimisation and energy management applications.

The module supports direct voltage measurement up to 480 V AC and current measurement through 1 A or 5 A current transformers (CTs). It calculates and reports active, reactive and apparent power, voltage, current, frequency, power factor, energy consumption and additional diagnostic values. Integrated diagnostics, firmware update capability and reconfiguration during RUN simplify commissioning and maintenance through Siemens STEP 7 within TIA Portal.
