SIEMENS - SIMATIC S7-1500 - CPU 1515 PLC

Siemens SIMATIC S7-1500 CPU 1515-2 PN is a high-performance modular PLC CPU for machine, production-line and industrial automation applications requiring greater processing capacity, memory and network flexibility than lower S7-1500 CPU classes.

The controller provides 1 MB of program work memory and 4.5 MB of data work memory together with two independent PROFINET interfaces. The first provides PROFINET IRT through an integrated 2-port Ethernet switch, while the second provides a separate PROFINET RT interface. This architecture supports segmentation of automation networks and integration of distributed I/O, HMIs, drives and other industrial Ethernet devices.

Integrated diagnostics, display, web-server functionality, isochronous operation and TIA Portal engineering provide a central platform for configuration, commissioning and maintenance.
