Siemens SIMATIC S7-1500T CPU 1515TF-2 PN combines high-performance standard PLC automation, extended motion-control functionality and integrated fail-safe processing in a single controller.

The CPU provides 1.5 MB program work memory and 4.5 MB data work memory together with two independent PROFINET interfaces. The first supports PROFINET IRT through an integrated 2-port switch for deterministic automation and motion-control communication, while the second provides a separate PROFINET RT network interface.

As a Technology Fail-Safe CPU, the 1515TF supports positioning, synchronous motion and extended motion-control functions while simultaneously executing standard and safety-related programs. Siemens certifies the S7-1500F architecture for safety applications up to SIL 3 and PL e / Category 4, subject to the applicable safety-system design requirements.
