Siemens SIMATIC S7-1500R CPU 1513R-1 PN is a redundant automation controller designed for industrial applications where increased system availability is required.

In an S7-1500R redundant configuration, two CPU 1513R controllers operate as a coordinated CPU pair. One CPU performs process control as the primary controller while the second operates as the backup. Relevant data is synchronized between the controllers, allowing the backup CPU to assume process control if the primary CPU fails.

The CPU provides 600 KB of program work memory, 2.5 MB of data work memory and an integrated PROFINET RT interface with two Ethernet ports. It supports PROFINET system redundancy S2 and MRP-based media redundancy and can also operate as a stand-alone R-CPU when required.
