SIEMENS - SIMATIC S7-1200 - RTD Temperature Input Modules

The Siemens SIMATIC S7-1200 SM 1231 RTD Temperature Input Modules provide high-precision temperature measurement using resistance temperature detectors (RTDs) for industrial automation and process control applications. Designed for seamless integration with the SIMATIC S7-1200 PLC platform, these expansion modules support direct connection of platinum and nickel RTD sensors, enabling accurate temperature acquisition for monitoring and closed-loop control.

Available in 4-channel and 8-channel configurations, the modules support 2-wire, 3-wire and 4-wire RTD connections(depending on the configured sensor type), high-resolution analogue conversion, configurable diagnostics and galvanic isolation. Engineering is performed using Siemens STEP 7 within TIA Portal, with support for firmware updates and reconfiguration while the PLC remains in RUN mode.
