Siemens SIMATIC S7-1500 CPU 1511 controllers provide high-performance programmable control for machine automation, production equipment and modular industrial control systems. The CPU 1511-1 PN combines fast PLC processing, separate program and data work memory, integrated diagnostics and PROFINET communication within the modular SIMATIC S7-1500 platform.

The CPU features an integrated PROFINET IRT interface with a 2-port Ethernet switch, allowing it to operate as both a PROFINET IO Controller and PROFINET IO Device. Integrated web-server functionality, network diagnostics, media redundancy and Siemens communication services support commissioning, maintenance and connected automation architectures.

Designed for standard automation rather than functional-safety or dedicated Technology CPU applications, the CPU 1511 is suitable for machine control, conveyor systems, packaging machinery, manufacturing equipment and general industrial automation.
