Siemens SIMATIC S7-1500 CPU 1516TF is a high-performance Technology Fail-Safe PLC CPU combining advanced motion-control functionality and integrated functional safety within a single controller.

The CPU provides 3 MB program work memory and 25 MB data work memory with 1.2 ns bit processing performance. Two independent PROFINET IRT interfaces, each incorporating a 2-port switch, support deterministic automation, motion-control and PROFIsafe architectures, while a third PROFINET interface provides additional basic Industrial Ethernet services.
