Siemens SIMATIC S7-1500 CPU 1518F MFP controllers combine high-performance PLC control, integrated functional safety and multifunctional C/C++ application processing within a single S7-1500 CPU platform.

The CPU 1518F MFP family provides conventional PLC program execution together with fail-safe control for safety-related automation and an additional Multifunctional Platform environment for C/C++ applications. This allows custom algorithms, data processing, protocol handling and other application-specific functions to operate alongside the PLC and safety programs.

Depending on the applicable configuration, CPU 1518F MFP controllers provide multiple PROFINET interfaces, PROFINET IRT, Industrial Ethernet, PROFIBUS DP and PROFIsafe connectivity for integration with standard and fail-safe distributed I/O, drives, HMI systems and industrial networks.
