SIEMENS - SIMATIC S7-1500 / ET 200MP - SM 523 Digital Input / Output Modules

The Siemens SIMATIC SM 523 range provides combined digital input and digital output expansion for SIMATIC S7-1500 and ET 200MP automation systems, integrating field-signal acquisition and actuator control within a single signal module. Designed for applications requiring both digital inputs and outputs in a compact installation footprint, SM 523 modules support 24 V DC industrial control signals and are available in conventional and high-density configurations.

The range includes a 16 DI / 16 DQ module with 24 V DC Type 3 digital inputs and 0.5 A sourcing transistor outputs, as well as a high-density 32 DI / 32 DQ version featuring sinking/sourcing digital inputs and sinking transistor outputs. Depending on the selected variant, field connection is provided through an included Push-In front connector or through SIMATIC high-density connection modules and preassembled cables.

SM 523 modules integrate directly into the S7-1500 / ET 200MP I/O architecture and support STEP 7 / TIA Portal engineering, module-internal shared input/output functionality and SIMATIC identification and maintenance data.
