The Siemens SIMATIC SM 532 family provides analog output expansion for SIMATIC S7-1500 central I/O and ET 200MP distributed I/O systems. Depending on variant, the modules provide 2, 4 or 8 voltage/current output channels, with ST, HF, HS and HART performance classes.
Functions include configurable voltage and current ranges, diagnostics, substitute values, short-circuit protection for voltage outputs, wire-break monitoring for applicable current outputs, calibration or reparameterisation in RUN on supported variants, high-speed and isochronous operation on selected modules, and HART communication on the specialised AQ 8xHART HF.
