Siemens SIMATIC S7-1500 CPU 1518HF controllers combine high-performance PLC processing, system redundancy and integrated functional safety for industrial automation applications requiring both high availability and safety-related control.

The CPU 1518HF family is designed for redundant S7-1500H/HF architectures in which synchronized CPUs can maintain automation operation when a controller or redundancy path is disrupted. Dedicated H-SYNC interfaces provide synchronization between the redundant controllers, while PROFINET interfaces provide communication with distributed I/O, HMI systems, drives and other industrial equipment.
